"The German Oceanographic Museum’s original voice network was installed in 1998. It was an OmniPCX Office system that has been continually extended and updated. Because this system continues to be a good match for our requirements, we chose Alcatel-Lucent again when planning our voice and data expansion to the new facilities."
Heiko Haack, System Administrator
When the German Oceanographic Museum Foundation (Ozeaneum) merged with three other organizations and opened a new facility in 2008, it became the largest natural science attraction on Germany’s North and Baltic coasts. With the help of Alcatel-Lucent, the four facilities are able to operate as a single entity. Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX Office transformed the Ozeaneum’s communications infrastructure, providing employees with efficient, cost-effective voice and data communications across multiple sites.
