UK & Ireland see strong data and channel growth in 2013

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise announced significant growth in 2013 with 27 percent growth in the company's data business across the UK&I. A recent Infonetics report shows that at a time when the market declined overall, Alcatel-Lucent outperformed the market with double digit growth in Managed LAN across EMEA in 2013, as well as showing significant growth in the Wireless LAN market where the company grew over three times the market rate in EMEA.

Recent product developments in Unified Access and the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise OpenTouch solution were significant drivers in the company’s success in 2013 combined with the company's channel strategy, which saw revenue from all premium partners across the UK&I grow significantly.

During the year the company announced significant customer wins across all market sectors including hospitality, healthcare and public sector with key data orders in the UK&I including St. Anne's College Oxford, the National Physical Laboratory and the NHS North Bristol Trust. The success of the company's UK&I Business Partner programme was recognised at the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise international Enterprise Partner Day where UK partner Freedom Communications won awards for growth in the company's data business, as well as being awarded a CNE Excellence Award.
