Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise partner SBL is first to deliver OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud solution to UK businesses

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has announced that its premium partner Solution Builders Ltd (SBL) is the first to launch a solution based on OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) to the UK market. The new SBL offering delivers Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) through a variable usage licensing model, with an initial focus on providing a low-cost-to-market solution for the hospitality, retail and education sectors.

OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud is a flexible solution that enables SBL to tailor a UCaaS product based on a market leading 'occupancy-based' pricing model that allows organisations to scale their costs up or down relative to business revenue and seasonal peaks. The new offering is a response to the market's demand for bespoke, consumption-based cloud solutions and David Marsh, former Director of New Business Development at the Steria Group has been appointed as Commercial Director at SBL to help spearhead the drive to market of this next-generation UCaaS product.

The partnership has already achieved its first major customer contract which has seen SBL deliver OTEC into the UK headquarters of a leading global hotel group, with plans to roll out the solution over 100 of its hotels in the next few years.
