Leading VoIP specialist peoplefone is the latest telecommunications service provider to certify Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions as being 'next-generation network ready' in preparation for conversion of the Swiss public telephone system to All-IP at the end of 2017. The peoplefone certification is particularly targeted at the company's growing customer base of SMBs looking to move their analogue or ISDN systems to the more cost effective and flexible IP technology.

IP-based connections unify the transmission of all types of information such as voice, data and video over the Internet Protocol. The latest certification relates to the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office R10, a hybrid system aimed at SMBs capable of analog, ISDN and IP connections, so that migration to All-IP could be as painless as a simple software upgrade.

To help businesses understand what All-IP means and how to prepare for the switch over, peoplefone regularly arranges VoIP events for partners and customers. For information on the next events click here.

Christophe Beaud, CEO, Peoplefone
“As a VoIP provider, we consider close cooperation with the manufacturers of telephone systems, such as Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, very important. With this certification, we guarantee our installation partners a simplified configuration and a professional customer service before, during and after the migration.”

René Krähenbrühl, Technical Sales, ALE  Switzerland GmbH
“We are very happy that peoplefone certified our solutions, as it reduces the complexity of All-IP and simplifies the process for its customers. Its success factors are: customer care and customer support from the beginning until the end of a project. This is important as it seems there is still a lot of confusion surrounding the big change to All-IP, especially in the SMB market. It is important for ALE to work closely with telecoms service providers, both to give customers the confidence in the equipment they are using and to develop the easiest ways for businesses to make the transition.”
