Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has announced its OpenTouch Conversation for Web has been awarded the 2014 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award by TMC, a global, integrated media company.

OpenTouch Conversation for Web (OTC Web) unites participants inside and outside an organization’s traditional boundaries to create an engaging, productive and easy-to-use conference meeting experience.

OpenTouch Conversation for Web leverages the capabilities of the original OpenTouch Conversation, but uses HTML5 applications to create and manage multimedia conferences via a browser interface. Participants in the conference can use multiple media and devices all within the same conversation.

OTC Web is ideal for company meetings, across multiple locations, between employees and /or external parties, customer service opportunities and resolutions, and even training.
Key features of OpenTouch Conversation for Web

  • OTC Web enables users to chat, share presentations and annotations, attachments and downloads, as well as provides audio all for real-time collaboration.
  • ‘Outside the company participants’ of the conference need no plug-ins, add-ins or other downloads, only a URL to join the system.
  • OTC Web works in the following web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
  • Annotations can be made in shared PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint shared files.
  • OTC Web uses SSL encryption to provide secure and private collaboration inside and outside the corporate network, to employees, partners and customers, extending the multimedia collaboration beyond the enterprise borders.
