KOMSA launches 'everything-as-a-service' model with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology

ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, and its long-term business partner KOMSA are working together to deliver cloud-based Unified Communications-as-a-Service for businesses in Germany. Effective immediately, Komsa will market the Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch® Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) solution as part of its “KOMSA Cloud Services”, a partner program targeting its B2B resellers.

KOMSA will provide the required hardware and software components to resellers and system integrators seeking to implement cloud-based communications solutions for their business customers. To comply with the highest security requirements regarding data protection, security, and availability, KOMSA will host the cloud applications domestically in Germany through a leading local provider of managed services.

KOMSA, a leading German distributor of information and communications technology, will help its reseller partners select the right cloud-based service components, integrate the solution on the end-customer's site, and manage the billing processes. KOMSA will also provide comprehensive training and support services. Under the motto “Everything as-a-Service”, system integrators and resellers can offer their customers a complete package from a single source.

OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud enables Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Business Partners to build a secure and always-on “Unified Communications as a Service” offer for their enterprise customers. The cloud-based solution lets employees connect to information, applications, services, and virtual meetings from any place, on any device. Consumption-based invoicing replaces the upfront CAPEX burden with monthly subscription –based (OPEX) model. It allows for flexibility, scalability and adaptation to changing customer requirements, leading to significant cost benefits.
