ImproChem upgrades its Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise network solutions in collaboration with CBX Tech Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions will enhance the user experience while delivering stability, reliability and ease of management

South Africa -- ImproChem, a leading water, energy and air solutions provider in South Africa, is improving employee productivity with a newly enhanced communications and network infrastructure from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. A long time customer of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, ImproChem recognized the need to upgrade its communications network to create improvements amongst its employees and IT group with better stability, reliability and ease of management.

Working with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise channel partner CBX Tech, the solutions offered give an integrated network for all ImproChem employees, allowing easy and cost-saving communications between branches by making calls over an MPLS network. Another fundamental requirement from ImproChem was for staff to be able to log onto an external server seamlessly from anywhere. The new solution will allow employees to access internal servers securely and be more productive.

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise OmniSwitch 6450 and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise OmniAccess Wireless Access solutions give ImproChem users faster access to server applications, improving employee productivity and allowing employees to be mobile and manage workload whilst on the go. Furthermore, since many employees use terminal services, the new network facilitates the transfer of files and documents and reduces download time.
