Alcatel-Lucent has been selected for the Frost & Sullivan 2013 European Customer Value Leadership award for Visual Collaboration. The award recognizes leadership in extending visual collaboration to the SMB market and equipping large enterprises with more affordable solutions designed to maximize the value added to the customer.
The Customer Value Leadership Award distinguishes a vendor in a fiercely competitive space. Frost & Sullivan studied Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s complete Visual Communications portfolio and identified the following key success factors:
Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch provides flexibility at an affordable cost: The software-based multi-device, multimedia, multiparty OpenTouch enables simple and affordable productivity via video communications that is as easy as a phone call. This is critical for in-office and remote workers where mobility ranks among the most important features.
Best-of-breed endpoints: Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch allows for a seamless transition from phone or instant messaging conversations to a full video conference, avoiding any interruptions. OpenTouch delivers video at the desktop through software clients on PC, video-enabled desktop smartphones (OmniTouch 8082 My IC Phone) and interoperability with the LifeSize portfolio. What’s more, the visual conversation is available “live” on any device but can also be replayed and displayed on digital signage equipment for further collaboration.
OpenTouch Video Store: OpenTouch Video Store allows customers to drive business and productivity for their company through the securing and sharing of multimedia content.
Extends productivity gains through partnerships: Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has built strategic partnerships to enrich their cost-effective and innovative visual collaboration solutions with an extended ecosystem offering solutions such as interactive white boards and digital signage.
Frost & Sullivan will recognize companies, strategies, processes, and executives that have achieved world-class performance within their industries at the Excellence in Best Practices Awards on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Paris, France where awards such as this will be presented.
