Interop Las Vegas recognizes Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Intelligent Fabric technology for advancing business technology
Today the new Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Intelligent Fabric technology was selected as a finalist for Interop Las Vegas’ Best of Interop Awards in the networking category. The Best of Interop Awards recognize exhibitors for innovation and technological advancements in nine technology categories. Award winners will be announced from Interop Las Vegas 2015, which takes place April 27-May 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
“To be a Best of Interop finalist is a wonderful recognition of the achievements our team has made in the the past years. This nomination comes at an exciting time for our new company and validates that Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology and innovation continues to bring value to the industry. This is our third such nomination in the last five years, and twice we have won,” said Stephane Robineau, Vice President, ALE. “Our goal is to simplify networking while offering the most advanced capabilities. The new Intelligent Fabric eases the pain points of customers’ IT departments and changes the game as they can now add new services in minutes, rather than hours.”
The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Intelligent Fabric will be showcased at Interop Las Vegas, booth #1027, the industry’s premier technology event focusing on the present and future innovations driving the IT community forward. Despite advances in computing and storage to help achieve more business agility, today’s network complexities have limited IT departments’ ability to quickly respond to business needs. The Alcatel-Lucent Intelligent Fabric simplifies network operations by providing for simpler network designs, easier interoperability, plug-in deployment and automatic reconfiguration with server/device/application moves/adds/changes. It also speeds up deployment roll outs, resulting in reduced costs and efforts to set up and maintain networks. The Intelligent Fabric technology is supported in both the data center switching and the converged campus network solutions, enabling businesses to benefit from a single consistent approach for all network infrastructure needs.
The Intelligent Fabric technology was ranked “Very Strong” in a recent report by industry analyst firm, Current Analysis, because it addresses the complexities of networking while providing a way for a business to operate in a multivendor environment using device discovery and auto-configuration, creating the foundation to an SDN network.
“We extend a big congratulations to ALE and all Best of Interop finalists on the success of their new products and positive impact on business efficiency,” said Interop General Manager Jennifer Jessup. “These are the types of advancements that define the future of IT, and we’re excited for Interop attendees to be able to experience them firsthand in the Expo.”
After a thorough review of all finalists, an expert judging panel will announce the winners on Tuesday, April 28 at 5:30 pm in the Interop Theater on the Expo Floor. In addition to the nine category winners, special honors will be awarded, including an overall Best of Interop Grand Prize and the Best Startup. Interop attendees will select an Audience Choice Award winner the next day on the keynote stage.
