Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology to showcase new communications and network service models at CeBIT 2016

ALE, operating under the brand Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, will showcase new innovative “on demand” solutions at CeBIT 2016 - the world’s leading digital business event. Key business and technology partners* will join the stand Hall 13, Stand D28 this year to demonstrate the different ways that Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise technology can be leveraged to address each organisation's unique needs and deliver better business outcomes.

According to CeBIT organizers “Digital transformation is happening now” and cloud computing is no longer reserved for large companies. For small and medium-sized companies, cloud services are now a viable way to relieve IT teams of routine tasks, reduce cost and remain flexible at any time. Replacing large upfront investments with consumption-based subscription fees means digital voice and Unified Communications have become an affordable option for SMBs.

SMB Cloud Services
As a converged voice and data solution, the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX® Office Rich Communication Edition (RCE) covers all the communication requirements of small and medium-sized companies. With the OmniPCX Office Cloud Connect feature, this market-leading platform can now be used as part of a cloud-based offering, combining all the features of an on-premise solution with the agility and cost-effective benefits of the cloud.

LAN/WLAN on Demand
Customer buying behaviours are changing and many are evaluating new ways beyond a traditional OPEX or CAPEX model to source their LAN/WLAN network infrastructure. “On Demand” enables customers to be billed only for technology they use. ALE has been at the forefront of this trend, in 2014 delivering its communication on demand offering. ALE will now extend its on demand offerings to the LAN/WLAN network infrastructure market to become the only IT infrastructure provider enabling its Business Partners to offer a converged voice and network infrastructure with an on demand model. These unique offerings enable customers to obtain ICT infrastructure services with minimal upfront investment while linking their costs to the actual utilization of the technology.

New UC&C cloud platform
Offering business an option for cloud services in either a CAPEX or OPEX model provides flexibility to address each organisation's unique needs and deliver better business outcomes. New Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions will enable cloud-based Unified Communications and Collaboration communications to reach beyond corporate boundaries by sharing the telephony and presence functions of an on-premise communication server with remote users in other locations.

Extended OpenTouch Conversation experience
The award-winning OpenTouch Conversation software clients are now available for PC and MAC computers and deliver enhanced collaboration through audio and visual communications to OmniPCX Enterprise customers. These new applications address power users with strong collaboration and mobility requirements. Users looking for a simplified entry into the world of Unified Communications benefit from the OpenTouch Conversation One Chrome application that is included with the OpenTouch platform.

New devices
At this year's CeBIT, new telephone models will be unveiled which enhance the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise portfolio. These include two new DECT phones, and an IP DeskPhone, which extends the entry-level range with the same look and feel of the company’s successful Premium DeskPhones.
